A personal message from the founder
I started Telephone Angels at the request of my grandfather after my grandmother passed away. Mourning the loss of his wife and not wanting to move from the home that she and my grandfather built with their own two hands, my grandfather shared with me that he thought there should be a type of check in service available for widowers in his situation. Though he mourns the loss of his wife, he was still a mobile, independent person, and was happy living where he has lived for the past 60 years. Further life changes were not necessary, or even wanted, but safety and security remain a concern for my grandfather as he begins a new stage of his golden years living alone.
Haunted by stories of friends or family members in similar situations where those loved ones have experienced suffering - and even death - as a result of a delay in medical support due to infrequent contact with family or friends, my grandfather inspired me to explore the idea of developing a check in service. Telephone Angels was quickly born from this idea and I am motivated and honored to provide this low-cost service to a wide variety of individuals.
I designed this service first for my own family, but I think your family will find significant value in it as well. I am pleased to offer this service to other families for the peace of mind and simple joy it has brought to me just knowing that I have strengthened the love and support system within my family. And yes, we are still happily using the service today.
I would like to know what you think about this service, as well as any suggestions you may have for making it a better service for your own family.
Sincerely,
Jason Hihn,
Founder
